Wooden Shekhawati Window AN25 – Antique Iron-Studded Double Leaf Window with Carved Floral Frame & Original Chain Latches Dark, deep, and devastatingly beautiful — this extraordinary antique double-leaf Shekhawati window is a supreme example of India's most lavish haveli craftsmanship, where raw strength and breathtaking artistry were woven together into a single, unforgettable piece. Crafted from solid, heavy reclaimed timber, the entire outer frame of this magnificent window is encrusted with an incredibly detailed hand-carved floral and foliate border — running continuously on all four sides like a garland of stone frozen in wood. Against this ornate frame, the two door leaves are fitted with bold iron-studded square panels in the classic Shekhawati fort style, creating a dramatic contrast between the delicacy of the carved surround and the raw, warrior-like strength of the iron-clad panels. Running down the full height of the centre join are beautifully crafted iron floral boss fittings — each one individually hand-worked — flanked by original iron ring pulls at mid-height on each leaf. And most remarkably of all, both the original iron chain latches survive completely intact — one at the top and one at the bottom — a breathtaking survival that speaks directly to the extraordinary age and authenticity of this piece. This is Shekhawati at its most glorious — heavy, intricately crafted, and alive with the spirit of the grand merchant families who once commissioned such masterworks to guard the entrances of their legendary havelis. Our unique doors are often purchased for Props, Retail Display or Film Sets and are very happy indoors or outside all year around.
