Wooden Door with transom AN87 – Antique Double Leaf Door with Iron Grille Transom Step back in time with this breathtaking antique double-leaf wooden door — a rare and remarkable survivor of India's most glorious architectural era, still wearing its original faded green paint like a badge of living history. Hewn from solid, heavy reclaimed timber, this grand double door features beautifully carved arched panels on each leaf, a robust ornate wooden frame with stepped detailing, and — most strikingly — an original wrought iron grille transom window above, with its elegantly curved ironwork still perfectly intact. The layers of aged, peeling green paint reveal the raw wood beneath, creating that utterly unique weathered patina that no modern piece can ever replicate. This is old India at its most magnificent — the kind of door that once graced the grand entrance of a Rajasthani haveli, a colonial-era mansion, or a prosperous merchant's courtyard home. Every chip, every crack, every faded brushstroke of paint is a chapter of its extraordinary story. Use it as a working entrance door, a dramatic room divider, a statement wall installation, or a show-stopping decorative piece. Wherever it stands — it owns the room. Our unique doors are often purchased for Props, Retail Display or Film Sets and are very happy indoors or outside all year around. Our furniture has been salvaged from an old building in Gujarat State and saved for future generations!
